Booking Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 21 July 2026

These terms govern all proposals, bookings, and retreats provided by House of Ionara ("we", "us"), registered in Albania, to business clients ("the Client").

1. Proposals and booking confirmation

All retreats are scoped individually. A proposal remains valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise. A booking is confirmed once the Client accepts the proposal in writing and pays the deposit invoice. Until then, dates and venues are not reserved.

2. Pricing and payment

Prices are quoted in EUR, exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Confirmation requires a deposit of 30% of the total retreat price, with the balance due no later than 30 days before the retreat start date.

For multi-day and Ionara Exclusive bookings, payment follows a staged schedule unless agreed otherwise in the proposal: 30% at confirmation, 40% no later than 60 days before the start date, and the remaining 30% no later than 30 days before the start date.

For bookings made within 30 days of the start date, the full amount is due at confirmation. Late payment may result in release of reserved venues and dates.

3. Changes by the Client

Reasonable adjustments to group size, itinerary, or logistics can be accommodated up to 21 days before the start date, subject to availability and price adjustment. Significant changes (dates, venue category, group size changes above 20%) are treated as a cancellation and rebooking.

4. Cancellation by the Client

Cancellation must be notified in writing. The following applies to the total retreat price:

60 or more days before start: deposit is retained but may be credited in full toward a rebooking within 12 months. 30–59 days before start: 50% of the total price is due. Fewer than 30 days before start: 100% of the total price is due.

5. Cancellation or changes by us

If we must cancel for reasons within our control, all amounts paid are refunded in full. If a confirmed venue becomes unavailable, we will propose an alternative of equivalent standard; if no acceptable alternative exists, the Client may cancel with a full refund.

6. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, government travel restrictions, strikes, etc.). In such cases we will first attempt to reschedule; amounts already committed to local suppliers may not be recoverable.

7. Client responsibilities

Participants must hold valid travel documents and are responsible for their own travel to the agreed arrival point unless transport is included. We strongly recommend the Client arranges corporate travel insurance covering cancellation, medical costs, and repatriation for all participants.

8. Liability

We act as curator and coordinator of services delivered in part by independent local suppliers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the total price paid for the retreat, except in cases of intent or gross negligence, or where liability cannot be limited by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Albania.
